What is the process?

You may be familiar with the process and that’s OK. We will walk you through from start to finish.


Typically the process begins with an initial pre-production meeting. There we can get a handle on the scope of your project. We will work through your messaging, vision and anything else needed to get the ball moving. Once we have a game-plan, we can then start planning and scheduling for your shoot. Whether it’s working with your idea, creating scripts, prepping the equipment or hiring the appropriate crew… we will handle everything with ease.


Productions can last anywhere from a couple hours up to several days depending on the needs of your project. A basic corporate video is around one day of shooting on location while more involved corporate projects can be 2 or 3 days. This is the fun part and why we love this industry so much. We will show up with all the necessary equipment from cameras, tripods, lights, sound gear, sliders, stabilizers or anything else required to accomplish the vision.


Once we have gathered the footage for your project, the post-production begins. Here we make back-ups of the footage and go through everything with a fine tooth comb. We then edit the clips together into a video, source and license music, adjust all the audio and dialogue levels, colour and create a look and feel for your footage. This is also where we create any necessary animations, graphics, lower thirds or anything else required. We send you the video for feedback and make any necessary amendments needed before giving you the final version(s).

What is my project going to cost?

When approaching a new project with our clients, we look at what their specific needs and messaging for their video(s). Each project varies in length, complexity & technical requirements. Contact us about your project and we can e-mail you an estimate within 48 hours after about a 20 minute conversation either over the phone or in person to get more information about your project at no cost to you.

How quickly can I get my project turned around?

We get asked this a lot. We do our best to meet your deadlines however furious they may be. If you have a tight turn around, it’s not a problem just let us know in pre-production so we can plan accordingly. If you’re not in a huge rush, depending on work load we do like to give ourselves a safety net of up to 60 days for full delivery.

We prioritize filming over editing due to weather and seasonal requirements (everyone wants a blue sky day right?) so post-production days get shuffled and moved around to accommodate production days with those requirements. Summers are typically busier than winters so the turn around times may increase during that period.

Do you work evenings and/or weekends?

The simple answer is yes… and we don’t charge more for it either. We would rather have a quiet location to capture your inspiring interview than deal with starting and stopping during or interruption of your operating business. We will work with you to make sure we get your the best time booked that works for everybody.

I booked you a month ago and now my event date has changed and we need to re-book, is that a problem?

We are not sticklers here… we get it. Plans change. The more notice the better but as long as we’re not already booked and unavailable, we can work it out almost every time so don’t worry too much.

How does payment work?

We have a basic contract we will ask you to sign, at that time we will collect a deposit… generally 1/3 is required up front that we use to cover our costs and the rest including tax is due upon final delivery. At this time we accept either interact e-transfers or cheques. If you would like to pay by credit card, please request and we’ll make the arrangements.

How can I save money?

There are many things you can do to save money in your project. Any of the process that you can handle internally will save you money. Maybe you have a writer on staff, have them start the scripting process. Maybe you require 2 actors to pose as clients… use actual clients, family or friends instead as volunteers. Of course we will help with any and all needs of your project, we are still sympathetic to keeping our budgets manageable where possible.
